Local control panel spares

Spare part

Replacement components for the local control panel that supplies and protects the power unit of an electrostatic coalescer, desalter, dehydrator or prewash coalescer: the voltage controller and its setpoint control, the voltage and current indicating instruments, contactors, relays, fuses, indicator lamps, selector switches, terminal blocks and the panel door seals. The panel keeps the field energised, lets the operator set the electrode voltage and trips the supply on a fault.

When to replace panel components

Instruments that read low or drift, a controller that cannot hold its setpoint, lamps and fuses that fail repeatedly, and relays that chatter under load are the usual reasons. A panel that trips often is more likely to have a process cause than a panel fault; see the troubleshooting symptom index before ordering.

Fit and interchange

Compatibility

Supplied against the panel schedule or a photo of the panel interior and the nameplate of the failed component. Where an original component is obsolete, an equivalent of the same rating and function is offered, with the change recorded on the panel drawing. Hazardous area certification is matched to the classification of the panel location, and the panel is not modified without the certificate being checked.

Standards and documentation

Documentation available with supply

  • Certificate of conformity
  • Dimensional inspection report

Information on this page is indicative. Final suitability and compatibility must be confirmed against your equipment, its serial or tag data and its operating conditions before order. Lead-time bands are indicative and are confirmed at quotation.

Only have a nameplate photo, a tag number or a drawing reference?

That is enough to start. Send what you have for a desalter, dehydrator, electrostatic coalescer or hydrogen adsorption unit, whoever built it, and we will identify the equipment and the parts it needs. Final compatibility is always confirmed against your equipment data and operating conditions.
