High-pressure entrance bushing

Carries the high-voltage conductor from the transformer or power unit through the pressure boundary of a desalter, dehydrator or prewash coalescer vessel to the electrode grid, insulating it from the earthed shell while holding vessel pressure. It is both a pressure part and an electrical insulator.

Add to enquiry: High-pressure entrance bushing

Compatibility: High-pressure entrance bushing

For electrostatic coalescers in desalter and dehydrator duty, and for the electrostatic prewash coalescers and precipitators of kerosene sweetening units. Bushings are specific to the nozzle size, flange rating, voltage and conductor arrangement of the vessel, so the match is confirmed from your vessel nameplate, nozzle details and a photo or drawing of the existing bushing.

Information on this page is indicative. Final suitability and compatibility must be confirmed against your equipment, its serial or tag data and its operating conditions before order. Lead-time bands are indicative and are confirmed at quotation.

Why high-pressure entrance bushings fail

High-pressure entrance bushings fail by electrical tracking across the insulation surface or breakdown through it. The usual triggers are water or conductive deposits reaching the bushing surface, operation above the rated temperature, and damage during installation. Repeated failures usually point to a process cause inside the vessel; see coalescer power unit tripping.

Only have a nameplate photo, a tag number or a drawing reference?

That is enough to start. Send what you have for a desalter, dehydrator, electrostatic coalescer or hydrogen adsorption unit, whoever built it, and we will identify the equipment and the parts it needs. Final compatibility is always confirmed against your equipment data and operating conditions.
