What we do
In crude oil treatment we cover the train that takes produced crude to export or refinery specification: production separators, indirect fired heaters, and electrostatic coalescers in dehydrator and desalter duty. We also design electrostatic prewash coalescer packages for kerosene treating units. In hydrogen we design pressure swing adsorption (PSA) packages for reformer and refinery hydrogen, and temperature swing adsorption (TSA) packages for gas dehydration and for purifying electrolyser hydrogen in DeOxo dryer packages.

How we deliver
We work from a client datasheet or specification through process design, detailed design, procurement, manufacture, inspection, delivery, commissioning and handover, as a single turnkey scope or as any part of it. We design and manufacture without owning a fabrication workshop. We own the design and the specification, subcontract fabrication to approved and audited fabricators chosen from the client’s approved vendor list or from our own network, and project-manage and supervise the build under our inspection and test plans. This keeps the choice of workshop open to the client and suited to the project location.
Experience
Axsia Howmar’s engineers have several decades of experience designing and supplying process packages to oilfields and refineries in the Middle East and other regions. Project references are shared in a form that protects client confidentiality; see projects. We do not publish client names, plant data or equipment records.
Standards
Design codes are agreed for each project. Codes typically applied include ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and UK Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations, API standards for fired heaters and vessels, and IEC 60079 and ATEX or UKEX requirements for electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
